My Great Great Grandfather Jacob JACK married Matilda Mary BEAUMONT. He was a sea captain and his Son William Jacob JACK emigrated to New Zealand c1870 where he married Elizabeth BURGESS daughter of Henry BURGESS and Annie HAYES. She came to New Zealand as a teenager with her mother and was an only child.
The most enjoyable part of my research has been the quest to find my Grandmothers side of the family as her father Garrett FITZSIMMONS was brother to the great pugilist Robert FITZSIMMONS. I have been in search of any family of Bob Fitzsimmons in the USA to aid with that side of the family.
